South Davis Family History Fair

Another weekend, another show. A great chance to meet new people. This show was a one day event at Bountiful High School and is sponsored by several stakes in the Bountiful, UT area. I saw many of the people I had met in St. George the week before.

Stories By Me the creator of our adorable Magnetic Family Tree's and the fabulous new magnetic Calendar was there. We are telling you the magnetic calendar's are HOT! They make the best presents and are great for any occasion. They can sit in a metal stand, hang from pre drilled holes or attach to your fridge with magnets. They are already listed in our store, check them out.

We were also were able to feature the rustic album from K &Co. It looks like the old fashioned albums, with big black pages, but is archival quality. I had many people ask where I had found the "antique" albums. If you have a collection of old pictures to display, this would make a great table book. We sold out of them, but will list them as soon as we get them back in stock.

My Hair Is Not Blue!

I was reading someone's blog. It is quite a popular LDS blog and a friend suggested I try to search it out. On this particular entry the husband was answering questions posed by others. One question was about his wife being a Relief Society President. He said (and I quote here) "She will be Young Women's President long before she ever gets stuck with the blue hairs in Relief Society."

WHAT?!?

I typed a quick hasty note informing him that Relief Society is not full of blue hairs and is an excellent place for any woman in the church to be. Besides those "blue hairs" are the perfect example for any of us with other color of hair. I was a little offended and not very kind. I racked it up to his age and inexperience in the gospel and did not send the note.

I admit I am biased. I love Relief Society. Teaching in Relief Society is my favorite calling. (I am currently struggling with being one of the counselors). It is a wonderful organization that encourages women in every aspect of their lives.
