Church on TV is how we used to refer to General Conference when our children were young. It was a little confusing to be missing a regular Sunday event. My youngest still is trying to figure out why we get to watch church on TV. We know that is not the case around the globe. On my mission I went to the church house to watch General Conference. Now I listen to it on the computer while I catch up on my family items in the office on Saturday. We sit down and watch the sessions on Sunday or take a drive together and listen to it on the radio.
I LOVE General Conference!! It is the "most wonderful time of the year." To meet as one large group is one of the things I enjoy. To know that there are thousands of people listening along with me, that I belong to a great community of Saints. The other thing I love is the lack of other Sunday obligations. There are no extra meeting for my husband or myself. I can cook whatever kind of meal I want with no need to worry about a time schedule. It is just our little family holed up together, listening to our leaders, feeling the spirit and the strength of home.
