Annette Ward has just created the newest line fo LDS product for Stamping station. We are so excited to get to know her. We are also just excited for new product! Following are the thoughts she shared exclusively with LDSscrap. Her thoughts are in red.
What inspires you?
"I look at everything! From restaurant menus, clothes, fabrics, magazines, old wallpaper books or whatever else that has a pattern or design to it. Recently we were in Sun Valley and I found a cute little shop. I spent an hour just looking at everything from t-shirts to gift items getting inspiration and ideas!"
What do you like to scrapbook?
"Of course , my FAMILY! And just recently I became a grandma! Wow, talk about taking lots of pictures. I love taking close up shots as my main photo on a page and then having smaller photos to accent. I also have fun just creating the layout using fun techniques with the products.
Another thing I love doing is making home decor projects using scrapbook supplies and photos. They also make great personalized gifts for birthdays, wedding or any occasion."
What is your favorite calling?
"Playing the piano for Primary! I've served in many callings over the ears but there's nothing better than watching children and hearing the darling things they say. And as the pianist, you don't have to worry about being "in charge"."
Other things you would like to share?
After high school, I attended the University of Utah, worked as a legal secretary and taught calligraphy and gymnastics at a local Community College. I met my husband, and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We have 5 children, one daughter and four sons. Two of our sons have served missions and I have another son leaving for his mission on September 10th of this year.
Some of my hobbies include designing of course, playing tennis, water-skiing/boating, decorating, traveling, and being with family and friends. I'm not a good cook and don't read much; I'd rather spend my time creating and designing!"
