Tomorrow is General Women's Conference, and I have been thinking about my sisters.
There is my twin, Heather, who is my best friend. We are fraternal and very opposite. My Mom says we are the perfect Ying and Yang. What ever I enjoy and am good at she enjoys the opposite. Even our testimonies are like that, I don't struggle in my faith and she does. I am so glad Heavenly Father put me on earth with a twin.
Then there is my heavenly sister Shawnell. She died after a premature birth when I was just one. She has a very strong presence in our family. She is often talked about and very much loved. The ties of an eternal gospel has made our reunion a very important and real thing.
The sisters I grew up with are still close to me, my childhood friends. We keep in touch and meet a few times a year. I love the past that I share with them. There are several groups, and people but I try to remain close to each of them.
My Sister companions of the mission field are ones I often think of but never talk to. I had great spiritual experiences with them and also very hard times. I often wonder where and how they are and am always hoping they are true to the faith.
Then there are my current Sisters in my ward and stake. I am blessed to be in a very good ward. We are small (it could qualify for a branch), but very hard working. We like to be together often, we have dinner invites, watch each others kids, and help each other out when needed.
I am blessed to have so many sisters. Our challenge to you this week is to journal or scrapbook about the special sisters in your life.
